Yushan Oolong
Availability: In Stock
Yushan Oolong hails from the HsinYi Township. Yu Shan (Jade Mountain) is located at the southern border of this township. At 3952 meters, Yu Shan is the highest mountain in East Asia. The year-round low temperatures produces thick, juicy tea leaves which brew to a heavy liquor with a remarkably sweet fragrance. Its flavor has high concentration. Yushan Oolong is very smooth with a light and slightly fermented flavor. The liquor is crystal-clear with a light golden color. The enchanting honey aroma smartly decorates the already richly floral and veggie-protein-like fragrance which trademarks its high-mountain pedigree. The unfurled leaves are thick and soft to the touch.
Brewing Instructions:
Yu Shan Oolong tea is very unique and smooth. It can be brewed for many times with good results. The water used to steep this tea should be about 185-195°F or 85-90°C. Use about 2 teaspoons (3 grams) of tea leaves for about every 5 ounces (150 milliliters) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes is recommended with more or less time depending on the desired concentration.
