Four Seasons Oolong
Availability: In Stock
This lightly oxidized tea hails from the oolong-gurus of the mountains of Nantou, Taiwan. Grown and crafted by a tea competition judge, our Four Seasons Oolong is a new varietal developed in Taiwan in the 1980s to be sweet, floral, and quite resistant to pests so no pesticides ever need to be used. The initial infusions of this oolong have a distinctive, fresh, buttery flavor with a heady floral aroma. From the third or fourth infusion on, our Four Seasons exhibits a creamy, flowery finish of morning gardenias and warm milk.
Brewing Instructions:
Temperature for steeping should be around 212 F , boiling first, then letting water sit for 30 seconds. Use 1 tablespoon of tea per 8 ounces of water. Steeping time of 3 minutes. Play with the amount of tea, the water temperature, and steeping time to re-steep - rely on taste, not color. Get to know the tea! Try it gong-fu style - use a lot of leaf and short steeps for multiple infusions.
