Chilaishan Oolong
Availability: In Stock
Chilaishan Oolong is a newly cultivated tea that was planted at an elevation of 2000 meters in Taiwan's Nantou County and Hualian County intersection point. It is a new plantation, so the tea tree is very young. It is now just gaining recognition for outstanding unheard of qualities. It is a wonderful new High Mountain Oolong with a mellow taste similar to Alishan.
Brewing Instructions:
Steeping of this tea uses generally, 2.25 grams of tea per 170ml of water, or about two teaspoons of oolong tea per cup. Oolong teas should be prepared with 180 to 190 °F or 82 to 88 °C water (not boiling) and steeped 3–4 minutes. For the ultimate enjoyment, a traditional Chinese Yixing teapot is recommended for loose oolong tea. High quality oolong can be brewed several times from the same leaves and, unlike other teas, it improves with reuse. It is common to brew the same leaves three to five times, the third or fourth steeping usually being the best.
